But at what cost?
I'd rather the GT350.

Part of me wishes that the new EcoBoost HPP package with the RS-spec engine would have had the Shelby GT 350's heat extraction hood and front fenders, with a different front fascia that uses the 18-current headlights, but looks different than any other Mustang, like the 84-86 SVO looked different than every other variant of the Mustang at that time.
Actually the Roush front end bits kind of look cool, too.
Make that racing stripe Ford Performance Blue Pearl, with silver/pewter pinstripes on the sides, and likewise on the door sills... over that classic oxford white... that would be a VERY good look.
The 330hp/350tq engine is a good, real-world power level that won’t necessarily try to kill you or others if traction is compromised, as long as the power delivery is good, cruising RPMs are modest and quiet, and it can be made to sound decent.
My last 300hp turbo-4 car, a Subaru, had to cruise on the highway at 3000RPMs or more, to keep the engine near-boost, but it wasn’t direct-injected, so it had low static compression, to allow the turbo to pressurize without pre-detonation. T he buzz and vibration got tiresome, where the other Subaru I had was a buttery smooth, sweet-singing flat-6.
However Mustang no longer offers a 6-cylinder, and the older ones didn’t get performance packages... and V8s step up to overkill levels of power, and are a couple hundred pounds heavier on the front end than the turbo-4 EcoBoost HPP.
Mustang EB-HPP is one of the only new cars I have been even slightly interested in, anywhere near the realm of affordability, in a while... but still, fully loaded for 45K... Flat-6 981 Boxsters and Caymans sell used for that sort of money... with similar power, that sweet song, and the whole car is 600lbs lighter than the Mustang EB-HPP, and mid-engined…
I might fit better and be more comfortable in the Mustang, perhaps, and it might be less expensive to support and maintain than a used Porsche.
It would be a bit of a choice to make, if I had 45K to spend, but I don’t...
