So last I chimed in, my boy and I had secured a dealer license and some money through a reliable connection of ours. The plan was to just do a small operation, make a couple grand a month and build it from there. Fast forward to about end of last week and well that got shut down due to unforeseen circumstances. To pile onto that, one of the connections we were banking on made an outrageous offer that my other two partners shot down immediately. Lastly another two guys we were working with have just fallen off the face of the earth.
I haven’t spoken to my partners yet, but I’m getting very close to pulling the plug on my end honestly. We’ve been at this since June-ish and have been spinning the wheels. I get raising that much capital isn’t easy, but time isn’t on my side here . Going into October I plan to give it a couple weeks to see where all the pieces land and go from there. I’ve been shopping my resume around as well, just to see what’s out there.

At least it doesn’t have one of those silly 14 speed automatics.
Next car I get is getting a powerglide swapped in immediately. Either that or direct drive.

Get a 1 speed powerglide! They exist apparently. Smoothest shifts ever!

Good Luck!
Starting a business is hard as hell. A few years ago I decided to see how far I could push my side-hustle into full time job territory. I ended up for 6 months doing as much work as possible on it to simulate what it would look like in full time income and the math did not add up for me.
So my hobby/side hustle of rebuilding old motorcycles stays just that.
