I'm having a theme crisis. Help!

I recently purchased an 1987 Wagovan 4x4 as my new Gambler 500 vehicle. If you don’t know, Gambler 500 is where we take crappy cars out into the wilds, pick up as much garbage as we can, then have a big camping party and get shit faced. We also do sweet jumps.

Anyway, after I bought it my wife demanded that the car be panda themed. Not just black / white, but actual pandas. No problem I said. This weekend it got a very cheap and very crappy rattle can paint job.

To start with the panda theme I painted the WWF pandas on the hood. I still need to add the WWF text.

Here is where I run into trouble. So it’s a panda, right? We go pick up trash in it right? In my mind, it’s the Trash Panda. But.... a trash panda is a raccoon, not an actual Panda.

How do I make this a cohesive theme with two different animals? Or do I drop the Trash Panda name and just go all in panda bear themed? Or half and half?

I already ordered some decals for the side that say Trash Panda and this sticker for the back:

I’m also building a roof rack out of bamboo.

So... keep the Trash Panda name or ditch it?

Ditch the Raccoons, also you need some anti Panda Express logos as Pandas are endangered and eating them is wrong,  This is per my 5 year old niece so you know it is true.

It’s many things to many people. Yes there is a rally aspect to some of the events. There are also minibike races and Hooptie X races . Th ere are really only 2 rules though.

Sort of. They are actually their own family of animal, but they fall under the same superfamily that contains racoons as well as skunks and weasels.

And the Panda Bear is the most worthless of bears. It easts bamboo, which is incredibly low in energy content, meaning they have to spend all their day literally eating to gain any nutrition, instead of doing other cool bear things, like destroying shit, or scaring people . They are so slow and lazy they don’t even procreate on the regular. Pretty lame bear if you ask me.

Well if you want to go full on panda theme I think you need some red panda content, it would be a nice splash of color on a black and white car, too. And if you really want to go all in on all types of pandas , how about the Panda Corydoras , aka the Panda Catfish!

Lame bear still better than red raccoon. Though you are right that there’s a lot of evidence that pandas are ill suited to this whole natural selection thing.

Keep the panda. Trash panda is great. Garbage panda. Embrace the bamboo too which will accentuate the Panda. Unless bamboo is expensive I’m thinking bamboo brush guard/light guards and some kind of Gilligan’s Island bamboo antenna?

You should also include a (muffled) ‘ hater pipe’. Someone posted one on oppo recently that kept the normal tiny diameter exhaust tip and I thought that was hilarious

Fun Fact: That Panda in the center of the ring is the logo of World Wildlife Federation (WWF) , which a few years ago won a suit forcing the World Wrestling Federation (also WWF) to change it’s name to WWE, and whatever the E stands for now.

It is..Officially , it’s a navigational offroad rally with crappy cars where many people  also clean up trash along the way. There’s also camping, minibike races, and now Hooptie X.
