What started off as an outer ball joint replacement job has now turned into replacing the inner and outer ball joints, a-arms, driveshafts, wheel bearings, swaybar bushings and transmission fluid.... on the bright side, Mini should be completely prepared to tackle the Tail of the Dragon in October when I go to Road Atlanta to watch IMSA!

Dropped the front subframe on the Mini.

One of the outer ball joints was stuck on the a arm, so I decided it be easier to just replace them. Now I can also replace the inner ball joints and my driveshafts.

It was fairly easy, took me about 2 hours.

awesome! i applaud your choice to leave the power steering (pump? tank?) att ached and not mess with disconnecting hoses and fluid everywhere

It was a little wobbly when I started to lower the subframe , I was scared its gonna just topple on its side :)

Its really simple on the Mini, just a couple of bolts. Plus, I had already spend decent time removing the outer balljoints...

Yeah...the Vette’s rear tires are completely bald now (1/32nd thread on em) + I have 3 more autox events at least this season.

The Mini is on fresh rubber, RE71 as well . Also, the last time I went to the tail, it had its original pulley and worse brakes than it has now.

All in all, it should be a complete hoot on the Tail!
