Since I am on work travel in the middle of nowhere Florida, I have nothing better to do on a Saturday night but go on Amazon and find a random movie to watch. I picked out Death Wish starring Bruce Willis. I generally make it a habit to never look up reviews on a movie because clearly the critics and other moviegoers dont ever tend to agree with me. I thought this movie was great and I enjoyed the heck out of it. I was hoping Detective Hank Schrader would be more in this movie but either way, I still enjoyed it. While there are probably issues with the movie, it doesnt really matter since it was enjoyable. Anything that is enjoyable is a good movie as far as I am concerned. Anyone else have poor taste in movies?
In other news my rental car for the trip is a Nissan Sentra. This was a free “upgrade” that I was given. I guess it is actually an upgrade versus a Spark, Versa, or others like that. I think all nissans are hideous but aside from that problem, it gets out of its own way (with the fury of 100 lawnmowers in that CVT) and is entertaining enough to chuck around roundabouts so far. Plus it has AC and bluetooth. Sunday is my first day off so I will drive it a bit more and go to the beach and explore a bit around here.

The backstory about the war is probably the best anime I’ve seen thus far

IMO professionally done movie reviews aren’t generally a good indicator of how enjoyable the movie is. There’s a tendency to place a disproportionate importance on things the audience isn’t consciously critical of in their consumption, such as art quality and social context.
Also, here’s a not-so-hot take: the Sonic is a damn good car. I’ve had a few rides in a friend’s 2014 manual hatch (I believe it’s an RS, which is probably just an appearance package). It breaks traction easily, corners better than the competition, has very usable cargo space, the seats are comfy for an economy car, and the interior isn’t a bad place to be. I actually really like the motorcycle style cluster.

Well yeah the sonic is one step up from the spark. I love small hatches like the sonic, fit, and Fiesta. I haven't ever tried a yaris or Mazda 2 but I imagine I'd like them too. But it seems there's a limit to slow car fast that I'm willing to deal with on American roads. It would be a different story on slower, narrower European roads with a manual gearbox as well.

I haven’t seen it, but I liked the original, and I like Bruce Willis, and if the Guardian (the Yahoo Answers of newspapers) hates it, that’s another plus for me.

I think I was also expecting it to be one of the many recent Bruce Willis movies where he is basically only a cameo in the story and barely has any part of the story, yet he is plastered on the movie posters and such. This was him starring at least. The only reason that really sinks a movie for me is just piss poor acting. Everything else I can deal with since good actors/actresses make or break a film for sure. They don't always save a terrible script or other problems though.

While the Sonic RS didn't receive any additional power, I do believe it had shorter gearing, thus it should be, or at least feel, a bit more lively and quicker than the non-RS turbo Sonics.
