According to Akio Toyota.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

If that happens, Mercedes can officially hand over its badge to Lexus, because they would’ve truly achieved dominance over land, sea and sky.

I mean, the black LC500 in my work garage already looks like a space fighter.  They might as well start slapping jet engines on things.

I mean, it wouldn’t be the first time Toyota did that. In both senses (that is, outsourcing the vehicle and its engine to other companies - in this case, Scaled Composites and Lycoming - and making an airplane).

And, Hamilton Standard got the 1UZ-FE - with two turbos added - certified as an aero engine, as the FV2400-2TC. (I think the intent was, if the TAA-1 was enough of a success, to then use that engine in it or its successor designs, but that (and the successor designs) never happened.)
