Wasn’t there a guy in a prominent position of power that said that the noise from windmills causes cancer? If that guy was right, and I have no reason to doubt a genius, then Iight be in trouble. Clean, beautiful coal is the answer, folks!

Okay, I’ll stop being an idiot. For your patience, pl ease enjoy this image of a McLaren Senna.

I'm pretty sure there's a higher cancer risk of being around people who talk out of their arse than being around a turbine. Besides, wouldn't every mad turbo driver have cancer from the whooshing noises?

I heard an NPR story on disposing of the turbine blades at end of service life. Apparently it is pretty difficult because of the materials.

That said, waste product from all other forms of energy production have got to be much worse. (Coal slag/air pollution, spent uranium fuel rods, old dams, specialized materials in solar panels - although maybe there can be some reuse from the last one.)

That’s silly. Everything is known to the state of California to cause cancer. Those stickers are applied to everything, but they don’t imply that the whole product causes cancer.

Well, probably like the sticker that’s on my portable air tank - “danger do not consume, contains lead, may cause cancer if eaten or chewed.” Seriously, on an air tank.

But why did they make it bubble gum flavored, then????

I would love to see someone attempt to eat an air tank. You know, for science.

Those blades are such a pain to dispose of that the turbine farms often just leave them on the ground near the bases of the turbine towers or along roads in the area as litter when they’re damaged or replaced . I’ve been on farms that have hundreds of them laying around.

Don ’t forget that Clean Coal only causes the good cancer.

And that so many, so so many birds are being killed by wind turbine s.

Kinja'd!!!

I mean look at that they kill more than...um airplanes

Only because we aggressively try to keep birds away from airports.
