So, I finally took the plunge on a full faced helmet last week. I know, I should have done that a long time ago, but nonetheless, I’ve got one now. Frankly, I like it.

So here’s the rub. T he v isor is already filthy.  I’m wondering what’s the best way to clean it, without screwing it up over time?

Microfiber and glasses cleaner?

Soap and water and a microfiber rag or ammonia free glass cleaner.  Depending on how often you ride, it’s gonna get scratched up. Mine get eaten up fairly quickly on account of living in a place where the air is filled with sand and dirt. Replacement shouldn’t be too pricey though.

A clean microfiber cloth and plastic-safe cleaner. Some soapy water is fine. No ammonia-based cleaners!

A mild soap and water with a soft cloth (i.e., nothing you wouldn’t wash your car with) . Paper towels will scratch the plastic over time. Something like Me quire’ s clear plastic cleaner and polish will do wonders for keep it clear (and you could biff out light scratches with it).

I only use rain water and a clean microfiber cloth.

Get a new visor, keep protective plastic on it.

I usually use a microfiber cloth and warm water . Stay away from ammonia based cleaners!
