Nah, that was a time machine.

The TARDIS is a time and space machine ‘that’s bigger on the inside’.

The original had a St. John Ambulance logo.

Actually, just looked. Joie Whitaker’s new T ARDIS has removed it again. Doh.

The new one’s colour has changed, handles have swapped over, the white sign is now black with white lettering, windows changed, the pillars have changed and the lamp on the roof too. Grrrr,

I looked into the history of the prop. I always thought it was an actual Police Box.

While not an actual police Call Box. The actual police call box wasn’t a set in stone design and different areas had there own interpretation.

Pr obably the closest to the would be the Glasgow police call boxes from 1929 of which only four remain. But the Glasgow ones were red up until the 1960s.
