The FJR1300 has its forks off being rebuilt, so I took the WR250R to the Rally Through the Valley event this morning. My bike is at the lower right in the first photo.
70% Harleys, several Gold Wings, some Japanese cruisers, two sport bikes, three BMWs, two Triumphs, a dozen trikes of various makes and models, and a few other neat bikes.
Coolest bike there:
Suzuki CAVALCADE LX. In fantastic shape.
They had a pig roast and all you can eat pulled pork, potato salad, macaroni salad, chips, pretzels, pickels, soda, etc.
And they are raffling off a 2019 H-D Softail Deluxe. $20 a ticket, 3000 tickets total.
I didn’t buy a raffle ticket for it, but my cousin did.
As stated in the title,
I’m reasonably certain that I had the slowest,
smallest-displacement, lightest motorcycle at the entire event. No Groms
to be seen (slightly disappointing). Oh well, still had fun. Was able to keep up with the other bikes through the 60 mile ride, though I was flat-out at one point with a top speed of 67 mph reached, going up a moderate
hill. Was proud of that.

Looks like a good turnout. Were there any scooters?

There was a Burgman 650 trike conversion, third pic down, closest to the camera. Ridden by a lovely older lady who claimed to have ridden it to California and back, as well as taking it on the tail of the dragon!
I did not see any two-wheeled scooters there.

I’m not sure how I missed that Burgman trike. I’ll bet that’s a comfortable place to eat up a lot of miles.
Maybe by this time next year I'll have a scooter I could take on that ride, since it's pretty close to me.
