You might have a problem....

I thought that was already determined.......

I was mostly doing one last “engine” search before I listed my van again. Found a few 3.8 vans, but most of them are too nice/expensive to use for a motor donor.

It always amazes me when I see a survivor in such pristine condition.   Even the carpet by the pedals looks clean..

Thats the problem.   This is top of the line for 1995 and because it's so clean and in such good order it'd make a tremendous vehicle as is for someone in need of a minivan..

Wow that it is freaking clean. The AWD seem pretty rare too, I don’t know what the sales numbers were but they don’t seem to be for sale very often.

There is an elegance and simplicity in 90’s car design that is truly astonishing to me. I honestly don’t think that it has to do with being born in the 90’s, I just think that the early  90’s designs exemplify the peak of old car engineering. They took the early designs as far as they could with enough ingenuity to keep them modern. Or maybe I’m just nostalgic but I like to think that I’m right.

Wow! That’s awesome. And...$29k in 1995 dollars is $48k today. Yikes!

That is a nice house. Didn’t know you were planning on moving?

Should tell the seller to park his car somewhere else when taking photos

These Caravans were more of an 80s design, just updated a bit. What I remember of the 90s is jelly beans. Jelly beans everywhere.

It’s roughly the same price as a loaded Sienna AWD today, really not far off.

I remember most of the 90s designs being simple boxy elegance, it wasn’t until the later 90s that everything went jelly bean.

I don’t think it’s nostalgia, its true.

Even today I enjoy a simple design like our 2018 Grand Caravan to the more rounded/angular design of other minivans.

I think it’s a combo of not many were sold and the ones that were are either kept pristine by their owners or have long since been scrapped.

Nothing that I want to pay for. I have a hard time paying $4-650 for a 200+k mile engine. I can buy a complete running van for that much.

The early 90s, yeah. But I think that was just because so many late 80s generations were still being produced.

Can you put your finger on what about these vans does it for you? I only ask because it’s refreshing to see yours so well kept. When I see any Chrysler products of this era in real life they are beyond beat, but particularly the vans.

It’s kind of a mindfuck looking at your vehicles. So clean, so nicely kept, even the home paint jobs look freakin great! It’s like someone had a 12mp camera in 1995.

I’m a neat freak even before I’m a car enthusiast. So I can appreciate anything that is kept nice.

I have the same question for myself: are the 90’s really the peak or am I just nostalgic in the same way everyone else is? At least for me the 90’s is when simple cars got to look REALLY GOOD and we could finally mix uncluttered simple lines with genuine aerodynamic efficiency

They’re a great combo of efficiency, economy, simplicity, and comfort. On top of that they’re insanely cheap to modify and maintain.

I like my minivans “no frills”, so they suit my needs perfectly.

Around here I generally see one of two types of these vans:

1. The beat down, shouldn’t even be on the road anymore version like you spoke of.

2. The mint, or almost mint driver that someone has clearly loved.

I saw that too! INSTANT WANT. HNGGG. Met more than a few folks who seek out nice ones too. however I was a bit concerned about the specific components for the AWD and the fact I’d just daily it. I dunno. Still on the fence about it.

The AWD drivelines in these is extremely stout. The trans is the only weak link, so I would want to know that the trans fluid has been changed before now. So long as it’ s been kept up on, it’ll be good to go.
