I haven’t been driving the Camry all that much, since I go to school in the city now... but I took it out today and when I came back, I parked further back and noticed 2 spots in the driveway....
From the looks of it, I’m assuming I now have a radiator leak, since it’s coming from the very front.... W hich, if that’s truly the case, that’ll be the end of road for the Camry :(
That o
ther leak appears to be an oil leak coming from the passenger side. The
oil leak surprised me, because it typically doesn’t burn or leak any oil....
I w ill have to take it to my mechanic to really see what’s going on. Insurance expires the end of October, so by then, I’ll have to decide whether or not I’m going to keep it. :(
Can already say that the future doesn’t look too good for the poor old Camry...
211k aint too shabby though.

You’re going to give up on a car over a $75 radiator?

I mean, I know parts are superrr
cheap for this car,
it’s just having to pay someone to do it. I’m
not very mechanically inclined.
The few things I’ve tried to fix on this car, I managed to break.
:(

Ehhhh, would honestly feel guilty giving it to someone. T he poor car is in prettttty rough shape as is . Family members who owned the car before me, really neglected it. It’s got a pretty long list of issues too.

I realllllllly don’t want to let it die. That’s why I’m really trying to hold on to it. Hard to hold on to it though, due to all the issues.

You could at least go over the procedure to replace the radiator before throwing the towel
. It’s much easier on that generation of Camry than a lot of other cars.

Better to give it a shot on a car you’re already prepared to part with, I’d say!

If you’re going to give it up anyways, you might as well TRY to fix it. Worst case scenario is it’s still broken, and you get rid of it like you were planning to.
If you do decide to give it up. Shoot me an email. I assume you're in Chicagoland, since you're going to school "in the city." I am too. woodshop00@gmail.com
