Wasn’t bad really. General grime but the owner had a dry extinguisher loose in the boot and it had rolled about a bit and unloaded a little of the powder.
On arrival.
Doesn’t look bad.
Usual grime.
Covered in dust inside.
Some of the extinguisher powder in the boot.
Usual ignored tailgate shut growing moss.
Brake dust, yay.
Engine covered in dust and dirt
Just awful.
Fallout removal. Car bleeding away.
Boot and all nooks and crannies vacuumed to within an inch of it’s life.
Just because they are under foot doesn’t mean you don’t clean them.
Vacuumed and wiped down with an anti bacterial cleaner.
Underside of the bonnet looking a lot better.
Engine looking so much better.
All finished.

Thanks. If I won a large sum of money tomorrow. I’d give up work and create the best detailing workshop just for myself to play in and enjoy.

What attachments
do you use to vacuum interiors? I have a giant shop vac
, but the nozzles it came with are useless and I need some better ones.

I use a standard short nose nozzle in the most part, for leather seats, doors, dashboard, etc... I use a circular brush head nozzle.
Some cars can have very awkward narrow recesses of which you can find loads of attachments online and they are much of a muchness. I've found taping a section (20cm long) of old rubber hosepipe (the older stuff tends to be softer and more malleable) to the end of an old nozzle beneficial as I can pinch the sides in, push it into the recess and pull it about.

The hosepipe trick is definitely getting used. Thanks!

Rubber is best or rubber outer as hard plastic may scuff the sides.
