My wife HATES these. So do I if for no other season than perceived symmetry (or the lack there of). However, she really hates them. So I have forever been trying to figure out a situation where she is forced to drive one for a period of time.

I had the opportunity on our honeymoon as they had one for rent and I had planned to call ahead and be like “look you have to play like there are no other cars and we have to get the Nissan cube.”  

Then I thought, “Is this an appropriate time for a practical joke, small as it may be?” Nope... One day.

We ended up with a Hyundai Accent which we both kinda liked, lol albeit uncomfortable. We both agreed that we would not be like 90% of tourists on Kauai and roll a convertible mustang/camEro/wrangler.

After two gorgeous weeks I bugged out and wouldn’t get on a flight home. So we had to go to the emergency room to get me all hopped up on valium before our flight. Had we been driving a cube all week, it probably would have been over lol

From the thumbnail I see that with just a little more styling Nissan could have made the rear handle a Nissan logo. Missed opportunity if you ask me.

I like the asymmetry, but am bothered by the fact that there’s a hidden but chunky pillar behind the glass.

The headliner is super cool though.

Exactly this — it’s manufactured asymmetry. If they had structurally found a way to make it work, I would think it was much cooler.

I’m also not a huge fan of all the blacked-out, swoopy D-pillars on crossovers today. It’s not objective horrid, it’s just way too much bandwagoning.

I always thought a Cube SE-R would be a fun idea. Motor and 6 speed manual from a Juke  + a tune and some 15" 4 spoke wheels and sticky tires might be fun.

I have this car people make fun of it but once I drive the around and super spacious this car is and drives really great u can appreciate it. The shape of the car is great for people who like to modify it or use it as advertisement but hey one to each right
