What do you get when you cross a GC8 WRX from Japan with a GF4 Outback Sport destined for the USDM? You get the Gravel Express. It’s like the Outback Sport, but with more Sport!
The bull-bar and rear mounted spare tire were standard, as was an EJ20G good for ~220 hp. It could be had with either a 5-speed manual or with the VTD 4EAT. I believe the rear VLSD was standard, too.
I believe the Gravel Express was only available around 1996, and possibly in limited numbers, though neither of those pieces of info have been confirmed by me at this time. Find this one on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
