PNW Fall Chill in Portland, OR was this past weekend. I had tons of fun and, as always loved the city of Portland. If that was in Canada, I’d move there in a heartbeat.

It was great seeing everyone that I’ve met and meeting a couple new people too. There was also an Oppo from Calgary in Portland on vacation who came out for drinks on Saturday.

Also, (I swear this is true) the group ended up outside a place at 12:30am having an extremely in depth discussion about Honda’s Mean Mower V2, including the possible metallurgy of the blade.

It was cool seeing everyone’s cars again plus AMGtech’s Africa Twin, Rye’s C63 AMG, Demon-Xanth’s pristine Sebring, Decay’s !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , Ruckus and his FRS. That’s what I love about Oppo.

Decay, Futureheapowner and I went for a very spirited drive in the North of the state on the second day. Probably one of the best roads I’ve ever driven and the Fiesta ST was really in its element. The tires, engine and suspension were all at their limits at times.

I missed out, that’s for sure! I’ll be in Portland end of October though. Planning with Future Heap Owner to meetup on Friday 1NOV if anyone else in the area is interested. Will be driving and hiking around for the day.

Delicious as always. There used to be a really good gyro place just up the road from me, but it shut down a couple months back. Since then I’ve made half a dozen trip s up to vernonia  just for the food.

Wait, are you proposing that it is not normal to discuss record holding lawnmowers in normal social gatherings?

Great seeing you again, and I’m really glad the weather cooperated on Sunday. Don’t know about you, but minutes after we split off I got absolutely dumped on for the whole drive home. Pace would have been quite a bit different on wet roads with my current tires and alignment! :)

How many miles was the drive while in Portland?

My total was 850 miles for the weekend, so that less the distance from Portland to my place

I don’t have an exact number, but guesstimating from the distance between my fillup on Friday evening on the way home after picking up Ravna and the next one in Vernonia near the end of Sunday’s drive, about 290 miles.

Rye is not RPM; he’s a friend of AMG Tech’s. He has a kinja  account (RZT5), but apart from a comment on one of my posts for this meet, he hasn’t commented in three years.

The Sebring is actually my Lady's, my trunk is open top and the passengers get a hard top. :)
