Yesterday’s breakfast. I wasn’t in the mood for cooking so ordered it online.

What you don’t quite see because the plate isn’t big enough is the eight really thick rashers of bacon and the stack of four fried eggs. Lol.

That looks...incredible.....and delicious. Hats off to you sir. What’s the black-ish stuff at the bottom-right? A pudding of some sort?

Beans are as ingrained into the British public as biscuits, tea, HP sauce, salad cream, etc... very different from U.S. beans.

Take a simple, beans on toast, it's got vitamins, minerals, protein, fibre, etc... add a dash of Worcestershire sauce and you've a five minute snack/meal to get you though the day for very little money.

I know it’s traditional. It’s just not my tradition. To me, baked beans are a lunch/dinner food.

I didn’t make it this time, placed an order online and had it delivered.

The black bits are black pudding aka blood sausage, great lightly fried to give it a bit of a crispy texture to it. Nom.

Why? They're a common vegetable and are normally found in tins and tomato sauce.

Nah, that’s just limiting yourself to when you can enjoy them.

It’s like saying cereal is for mornings or when you get up out of bed . It’s a great easy snack for any time of day.

I stand both in awe of, and in fear of, your breakfast choices. I love breakfast but I rarely wake up hungry enough for more than a small sandwich at best.

I had finished work at 6am and got my delivery at 11am. I was suitably hungry. Lol.

lol “salad cream” just saying it almost makes me gag. We were visiting my sister, who used to live in Kent. My brother in law who is an Englishman and I were in a grocery store (stoned) and I’m like “The figgity FUCK is salad creme! ??? ” as I start to laugh. “And like, why is it called that?” He tried to explain but it just turned into both of us laughing uncontrollably in the store and leaving with a baguette and cheese.

No worries.

There was a couple of things missing like fried tomatoes and fried bread.

Black pudding is lovely.

Lol.

Salad cream is like mayonnaise, only more vinegar and lot less fat. Fantastic on a ham and egg salad sandwich.

I've now got this image of you visiting France and walking into a grocery store and asking what creme Anglais is. Lol.

We’ll you’re not far off. We did France and Amsterdam in that same trip. I don’t speak any French and all I got was a bunch of dirty looks from people as I tried to communicate in Le Touquet.

The grocery store in Amsterdam was a whole new thing. We couldn’t figure out where anything was or what to get. Again we arrived stoned and left with bread and cheese.

Im kinda surprised that you can order this “Ex tremely British” breakfast,

And im even more surprised that it arrived in a very presentable status.

I like to eat, but I have to admit, that plate looks daunting. Three, wait four  meats plus eggs and beans and sweet breads. Oof.

Lol. I plated it myself, it arrived in two large a small delivery cartons.

Ordered from Foodhub, there is a confectionery store that delivers, several kebab/pizza/chip shops that deliver alcohol, etc...
