Why would they drill classic plate holes in a different place than the regular plates? On an interesting note, there aren’t a whole lot of classic motorcycle running around my area. I got the top plate for my 450 over three years ago. Picked up the second plate for the 175 today. Looks like they only handed out one other classic MC plate in that  time.

On an awesome note, I discovered the toolkit for my 175 is complete. First time that’s happened. I love me some old school tool kits.

I love the old school moto tool kits. The only thing they’re missing are feeler gauges for valve adjustments. You can tear apart the whole bike with a pouch of tools.

Are those plates made of copper? Or is there a tinted clearcoat on it?

Nice tool kit!

They’re electroplated. However, Arizona did issue solid copper plates in the ‘30s, and the ‘70s historic plates were also solid copper.
