Anyway, at one point in my life the ATS-V seemed like it would be rad. Then I moved to Saskatchewan and realized I’ll never have a need or the money for it. Any cars that you guys love the idea of having (that are semi-attainable) but could never justify?

Ive got a strong desire to build a prerunner but not much to actually own one. If I were to get a truck itd be for towing not long travel.
Also the Jaguar XK
Its style is magnificent, they are getting very affordable for the right spec(completely ruined), but its probably a very bad idea. (Buy one with a blown trans or engine and 1gz v12 swap springs to mind)

Depending on how cheap they get in a few years, a used Giulia Quadrifoglio. As per the maxim peddled by Top Gear all those years ago, you can’t be a “petrolhead” if you haven’t owned an Alfa. I plan on owning one one day, but a Giulia Quadrifoglio is just too new and expensive and silly to consider seriously. Also, if I had the money for a Giulia Quadrifromaggio, I’d probably just get a C63 instead. Or an M3/4. Or an S4. Or an XE S. Or a Stinger GT. Or a G70 3.3t. Come to think of it, realistically, the Giulia is at the bottom of my list when it comes to cars in it’s segment. But my god do I love it.
I’ll probably have to settle for an old Spider or imported GTV6 . I’m fine with that.

Classic Mustang. They were arguably what got me into cars, in fact I loved the OG Mustang for a solid decade before I was an enthusiast.
But at the prices they command nowadays... Nope. Couldn’t bring myself to do that for what is arguably a terrible car in every way, that just happens to be quite stylish (and nostalgic) .

This. If the Ranger Raptor was available here in Canada I’d be throwing my wallet at them. I don’t want a full size damnit - also I don’t want to spend $70k.

NA/NB Miata.
I quite like them and being a convertible is quite nice as well. It is completely attainable for me and yet there is no justification since I already own the Mini (and im not selling that ever) and I dont like the idea of have 2 similar cars...

I never really thought I'd own 4 20+ year old shitboxes, but, well, here we are. It's hard to justify, so I just don't.

That's pretty cool, but definitely not cheap. I remember looking at Craigslist 15 years ago when $5k would get you a decent runner

Yeah, definitely pricey. But that’ll keep the originals from going too crazy. I wish more manufacturers did that. Plus, you can drop a modern coyote in it and Kevin Hart yourself.
