My wife and I both really liked it. It was SUPER comfortable and felt really well built. Drove nice and had plenty of power and I didn’t totally hate the CVT. I did purposely put my hand in front of the EyeSight camera to confuse it, though. Just wanted to see what it’d do.

They offered us $8,750 trade-in for the CX -5, which was surprising.

Going to look at a few other things now.

An d, we just about got rear ended in the CX-5 on the after leaving the Subaru dealer. It was bad.

Black Nissan Rogue was coming in hot, tires squealing and everything. I changed lanes into the turning lane and floored it and we barely missed being hit.

Yes! It beeped and turned on several yellow warning lights and said “EyeSight disabled.” And, the system didn’t  come back on for like 30 seconds after I removed my hand.

If you did get hi t, push it back into the dealer and say 8750 sounds good

That’s a helluva lowball, even for a dealer salesman.

Not really. The CX-5 is approaching eight-years-old. They’re right in line with what  research I’ve done. Hell, Edmunds said I’d get $6,999 out of it on trade.

I guess I didn’t realize yours was that old. How time flies.

I agree. Feels like not too long ago that we were picking it out at the dealer and now we are about to move on from it. I’m a little nostalgic/sad.

It does something similar in heavy rain or snow. It just generally resets itself when visibility comes back.
