I am signed up for an event tomorrow and will be documenting the drive extensively. What do you want to know about it?
Also, I’m considering making a video review if there’s enough interest. If you want video, what kind of content/info/camera angles at autocross should I include?
This car is mind-blowingly fun to drive; I can’t wait to share more!

I know the visibility gets a lot of attention on these, maybe compare how noticeable it is on the street va vice versa.

am i right in assuming you got the 2.0 coz of weight/weight distribution?
(also.. a 2.0 camero breaks my head a little...just coz i associate it with big blocks mind)

Also apparently the 2.0T is the smallest displacement engine of any C amaro in history. A 4-cylinder Mustang weighs 3700 lbs (300 more than the Camaro) and has a 54/46 weight distribution. The Camaro was a pretty easy choice.

Please please, I want video of the autocross from a bystander perspective. I want to see how the car transitions.

Maybe out of context a bit but I rented one of these a couple of months ago and drove from Mission Viejo to Astoria and then over to Portland. I had the convertible and though I’m not even six feet I had trouble getting in and out with the top up. Also no luggage room at all. But what a jewel of a drivetrain. And with the computer set to check a 50-mile average I got 39 miles per gallon on one.

I’m 6'2" and haven’t had too much trouble with the coupe, the only trouble is how long the doors are. It’s difficult to get in and out of the car in tight parking spots.
The coupe also solves the storage issues; the trunk is much bigger and the rear seats can be folded down as a pass-through trunk too.
This engine is absolutely great for fuel economy. There’s enough turbo lag that it doesn’t spend too much time in boost unless you really rev it up. I highly recommend the 2.0T 1LE coupe if you can test-drive one.

When will you tune it?

As soon as it’s no longer competitive in the street class; currently it’s classed in D-Street with all the hot hatchbacks, so it’s in my best interest not to tune it yet. These are very responsive to tuning though, it’s definitely on the list :)

I have an ATS that I’ ve tracked a few times. I haven’t done an autocross, but j ust remember these are like miatas. They’re momentum cars. The chassis will help your tire hold a good amount of speed.

What brand and size tires will you run? Staggered or square?

The stock tires are Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrical, 245/40R20 front and 275/35R20 rear. Similar spec to the Camaro SS in terms of size & stagger.

I’ve ran one of these on bridgestone RE-71Rs and found the car a little too oversteery for autoX. How did the stock tires do? I was also thinking a square set up might be nice because of the 50/50 weight balance

I’ve seen someone hit 8 cones on one run without taking out a while wall anywhere. That was an achievement.

Were you or anyone else you know able to fit a second set of wheels and tires in the car? How reliable has it been for you so far?
Thinking of trading in my mkVII GTI for a turbo 1LE vs BRZ. Dealers got both within 20 minutes from my house.
