My coworker pulled the plug on it saw nothing came out so he called me over there and said “you’re gonna want to video this to show the customer”

We built a 5.3 and put it in in place of the 4.8. I broke the motor down the next day it it was fucking full of sludge. Everywhere. Worse one I’ve seen

...gen-yew-wine transmission fluid, freshly squeezed circa 2016. (See how nicely it floats above the water? Blood don’t do that.) I have since learned that shortly before the car was benched, it was borrowed by a “friend” who folded the seats down to haul a transmission back to his house or something and it was that transmission that spilled its guts everywhere.

It is a 4.3, in a S-10. Bad part was the armater was stuck out, engine had to go up a lot to be able to get it out.

After i asked then wtf is this bundle, they told me that car was in front end accident, since then it didnt have working fuel level gauge. Wish they told me that prior me double checking previous work. Turned out to be that previous person miswired wiring for level sender and fuel pressure sensors.

The 150 protects against a dead short. The circuit is basically a single wire that plugs in to provide source voltage to the trailer lift gate batteries. The lift gate itself draws off its own battery bank during hydraulic pump operation. My guess is the driver hooked or unhooked incorrectly and somehow shorted the plug against the chassis. Instead of admitting it they just wrote it up as inoperative...

They put a bottom mounting bolt in a wrong alternator, opened the tensioner all the way, put wood against the mount and used the belt as constant pressure to keep it up. Sketchy but it worked

We ended up cutting a few sections out of the top strut eye to pull the wheel end forward enough to get the king pin back in. Just good enough to get it back to the workshop for proper repair and out of the blast area.

...I was so pissed. It’s a 2019 Q8 in for its 10k maintenance and I’m like why does this thing bill out an hour for an oil change that seems excessive. Then I saw how many things I had to take apart to install the oil extractor and reach the oil filter. And then I died a little bit on the inside lol

I upvoted a bunch of your downvoted comments. That was quite a pro-coal-rolling circle jerk going on in there.

The liquid anti-seize coming out of the blown up diff was satisfying.

That tire on the other hand scares me.

Interesting remark. I think the engine oil sludge is more disturbing. The sebaceous cysts are freaks of nature while the oil sludge is unnatural.

Haha thanks.

Even in California, among the non coal rollers, those are common sentiments. They quite literally think the State is out to get THEM, and I’m their agent doing evil. They don’t understand it’s just a job and I’m just trying to do it correctly.

But it’s fine. Wrongwheeldrive had the best reaction when I sent it to him: “Referee is pretty much the ultimate get fucked.”

I laughed pretty hard that he figured that out right away.

I’d just like to say that Arnie has a long op-ed in the Post , and in addition to being pretty reasonable, it is also great fun to read in his voice: Arnold Schwarzenegger: Trump can’t erase a decade of clean air progress with a Sharpie
