I have to say I had more fun on the track with my Audi S3 (6 speed dsg) than I did with a manual car.

And it’s entirely because I am not a professional racing driver. I literally just can’t shift like a pro and neither can anyone here. I didn’t have to fumble with trying to throttle match downshift, etc. I also can’t be bothered to learn to do all that truely properly. I would never buy a slushbox or a 5 speed or less classic auto trans car but a DCT that plays like my old Logitech wheel I used in racing games for like 10 years? Gib.

Flappy paddles can be lots of fun. But I wouldn’t take them over a manual gear box especially in a sporty car.

For example the most fun I’ve had with a flappy paddles was in a Durango R/T. A prefect place for something like that.
