whos got more info on how these spicer axles work? It looks like they have a really small ring gear with a liquid cooled planetary gearset. Could even be 2 speed. Don’t know much about em, just guessing.

Ahh, what these are is a planetary axle. There is a planetary gear set that does the reduction in the hubs.

it didn’t look like hub reduction, but I didn’t spend a lot of time underneath it. its not planetary in the casing?

I don’t think its a 2 speed, but I could be wrong. There are definitely lines going in and out of the housing. I assume cooling but it could be a vacuum actuator.

the hubs were big, but not bigger than the center section, though you could be right.
