A bad accident made a 15 min trip to take the wife to her procedure into an hour and a half odyssey. They took her in anyway, thank goodness.

This was in the surgical center parking lot. Maybe it’s an omen of good for the rest of the day.

That is not a Texas LP you have on the front there.

You’re a bad boy.

Not my car, unfortunately.

About half of Texans simply don’t put on their front plates. They must get away with it. I’ve never understood why.

I’m in a suburb of Houston, and the cops here actively pull people over for it.  I’ve spoke to a few of the officers and they target higher end vehicles especially.

Good. When I first moved here, I actually called the police station to find out whether front plates were optional, because it seemed like it might be, although why I couldn’t guess. The sergeant was pretty emphatic that it was the law. But still...

I do enjoy hearing about how they pulled over this ball player or that CEO or this middle eastern prince for not having front plates on their Ferrari/Lambo/Bentley.

I suspect they enjoy doing it.

I just have my front license plate in the windshield. Washington doesn’t seem to mind. We’re cool like that I guess... Literally.

I called my parents yesterday who live in Plano and they asked me how the weather was. I said it was still warm here, low 70s. I’m ready for fall and the cooler weather.

Yep!  I could never take the heat there, just dealt with it.  This is wonderful.

Low 70s was F, I didn’t want to trouble my parents. My dad already has Alzheimer’s.
