Why? Dear Lord, why does the Taycan have that weird strip under the headlights and odd shape? Didn’t the 996 teach Porsche to keep to simple ovals?

The rear and side of the car look amazing, but the front is ugly.

Personally, I prefer the Audi E-Tron, even though I am a Porsche (911 and Cayman) enthusiast.

I’m glad someone agrees. Porsche is just mad at itself because they have realized it’s almost impossible to improve circular headlights, they are a signature Porsche design feature, so there’s nowhere for them to go but down.

The e-tron looks better, but I don’t hate the Taycan.

I hate to say this, but with what these things weigh at this point, it makes sense why people would just spring for an SUV.

They look like knockoff mclaren headlights.

Not a fan of the te ar ducts? Lol

I like it, but I can see how someone  can find it ugly.

The gang member teardrop is terrible on this and the LC500.

The only car Porsche got right the first time was the 911. I’m sure it’ll grow on you in about 10 years when they come out with some new ugliness.

Off topic question, did you change the front wheel bearings on the Z? Someone put loctite red in there and I’m fairly sure it should’nt be there...

Nope! I have seen some parts come with red loctite pre- applied, mostly brake components though.

Pardon the shitty ‘Shop, but i n the lights’ defense, I think dropping the tear duct makes a huge difference.

Gang teardrop was my first thought when I saw the new peugeot 508. Looks good on those though (at least to me)

I actually don’t think it’s that bad, though I’d probably prefer if it was simpler - but it is just a piece of plastic trim that you could paint or vinyl wrap to match. The vents are real, however.

The McLaren headlight/logo motif has to be one of the worst design decisions.

Just because an idea is clever doesn’t mean it’s good.

At that angle and on a white car,I see your point. But otherwise I still like it.

Kinja'd!!!

I also like the Audi, although that front end has is quite busy as well, no need for all the cooling grille s.

LC500 has it on the rear too, was behind one this morning.  Looks so off.
