I really am digging the look of the just released Taycan. Love the multicolor wheels on the photo above.
But holy cow is this thing expensive, s tarting at $153,310. I guess that was to be expected being a Porsche and all, but wow.
Anyone else digging the looks?

It looks solid, well thought out, and assuredly is fast as hell. Of course, since they prioritized performance (it’s a Porsche, after all) the Tesla dweebs are all pissing about over it’s relatively short range (~240 mi from 93 kWh.)

Oh I’m sure Tesla fans could never truly be satisfied with a legacy OEM electric vehicle. I’d be willing to bet this feels more like an 150k vehicle than a Model S or X feel like for 100k.

Yep.
Not quite as sexy as the Mission E, but, overall:
DAMN

I really dislike the quad LED setup Porsche moved to, but other than that I like it. I'm curious to see how it compares real-world to a top-of-the-line model s

I will say those Quad LED’s look pretty striking in person on current model, but isn’t my favorite either.

I am now waiting for the “base” T aycan. because apparently that’s what’ll compete with the “regular” Model S.
I f they can put it in the market within $10k of Model S, it’ll be a no brainer assuming it offers “ decent” range. .

Seriously. This may be the best concept to production designs in many years.
If only Toyota
could’ve done as well with the Supra

I think in Range/Economy mode the base model will get up to ~280 miles, but still lower than hoped.
If it can get ~ 200 miles when driven like a Porsche , and re-charge from 5% to 80% in 22 min ( or 36 min on a DC fast charger), I don’t think it will be an issue for most prospective buyers.
That price though. So much for the rumored sub-$100k price point!

Yeah that’s stupid, but I get why they call it that.

Agree, I think it will be more interesting seeing the lower spec models.

Like the back much more than the front. especially not digging that vent thing hanging down from the lights. I think I like the Panamera more.
