Kinja'd!!!

Clearly, I drive A LOT. This is from Friday of Labor Day weekend (technically, I bought it the Thursday prior, but eh).

Here’s a bit of c arcissism from the same day. I should do a write up when work isn’t slamming me.

I like how the digital gauge goes past full just like an analog gauge does.

Nice. My parents recently traded in their 2016 for a 2019  with the turbo . Despite the name, I was somewhat disappointed to learn that they don’t throw in a case of wine when buying a Grand Touring Reserve.  Both are very good cars. I need to do a write up on the new one.

*in Mr. Regular’s voice*

“This is not Shouryu Aloof’s million mile Mazda.”

It would be cool, but I don’t think anything built after 2005ish really can take that kind of abuse. Panthers and Lexii are the only things built post-1 994 that aren’t all plastic, fiberglass, and Lexan.

(OBVIOUSLY, I’M EXAGGERATING, for the inevitable Captain Obvious waiting in the wings.)

You live in New Mexico; wine is already everywhere.

I didn’t even test drive the turbos because I knew I couldn’t afford them. But I’m sure they would have ruined me for the N/A Touring

The differences between them are pretty interesting. I had expected the trubo 6 to be   a proper sports sedan driving experience (along the lines of something like an E39 or the old Acura TL type- S) , but it isn’t. I now understand all the reviews of it that came to the same conclusion. Mazda went a different direction, and w hat turbo 6 really turns out to be is a very good entry-level luxury car.

I drive almost that much as well, I dont really consider it “a lot”. When I bought my Subaru in Nov 2017 it had 136k on it and it is sitting at just over 171k now. I also drove 15k on the other Miata and about 6 k so far on the new miata since buying it in April. So that is ~55k driven in just under two years. So almost 30k per year.
