Nah. For 90s Canadian indie rock, this is a solid intro, but not the greatest.

Like usual your are wrong. The combo of the sirens, then the bass, then the guitar is prime time.

In terms of epic intros, “Giant” by Matthew Good Band is up there. The high school chanting, the screaming guitar, that is an awesome intro. This is good, yeah, but not the best.

Also, I would have to discuss this with my colleague, since we often discussed 90s Canadian music on night shift.

Giant does have a good intro, but not great. Money City Maniac has the slow build then it goes. Giant is too fast a built for a good intro.

Giant is a bit of a quick build, but it’s a great build.

Thinking of 90s Canadian music, I can’t think of a lot of slow builds. Stereo  by Watchmen is probably the closest one I can think of.
