Wasn’t a fan of the E60 when it came out, but it has really grown on me. I was getting into cars are this time, always liked vehicles , but never cars in particular. The BMWs of the early 2000s were what really got me into cars, but it was the pre-bangle era cars. Ironically, I now own two Bangle era cars.

I was always an E60 fan, but when i was a kid, my favorite normal cars were the E39 and E46. I got the E60 because I couldn’t find a cheap pre-Bangle BMW that wasn’t falling to bits/ covered with M badges .

With the M3, I wanted a four door M car, which realistically limited me to the E39 M5 or the E90 M3. The E60 M5 was a contender , but it seemed like it could be a huge maintenance headache. The E36 M3 wasn’t a real contender, due a few reasons. I thought the E39 was going to be the car I got due to budget constraints, but I found myself with the funds to get an E90 M3 or an F82 M3. I went with the E90 for numerous reasons, that was the one E9X I liked when it came out. I did limit myself to 2009-2011 because I didn’t like the 2008 tail lights and I can’t stand CCC iDrive.

Bangle took risks, it they have all seemed to age well. Partly because BMWs have only gotten unglier in the last 5 years.

He did, and it seems the industry responded with similar styling, which is why a lot of the bangle cars have aged really well. The LCI M-sport E60 is a phenomenal looking car.

You were five?!
Seeing that makes me feel like you must be 10 years old now and I’m 75...
