Spent the day scrubbing on the Mini’s engine bay. Whoever recommended Simple Green thanks! It worked well along with a whole bunch of elbow grease. The engine is not painted black!

be ccareful as simple green can strip paint, and al will corrode if left uncoated.

I think most Austin A-Series engines were painted in an olive-y green, weren’t they? :)

They were. Mine was so dirty that I seriously thought it was a different color.
