Saw my first MKV Supra!

Honestly it was only a matter of time with car shows like Cars & Coffee around which attracts amazing rides from all over the DFW metroplex. I was pleasantly surprised by the way it looked in person. I can’t have a full educated opinion until I have driven one however, because that is a huge part of the deal on cars like the Supra!

Naturally I also had to include the MKIV’s that were staring it down (3 white ones). The MKIV is still my favorite if I am completely honest. I wonder if the new car will attain the same status as the years go by.

Not expecting anyone to watch and search the video so:
T he S upra is featured in the music portion of the video (starts at 10 :10, smack down in the music portion for the glamour shots ) and in the Asian car section driving off (21:11, right there ).

I wonder what my fellow OPPO’s who have seen the MKV in person think. Better? Worse? Why? And I would love to know if you have driven one. I actually drove the MKIV not too long ago:

I t was exactly as I envisioned it. A true GT car! I wonder if the new Supra gives you that same feel on the road.

I like that color quite a bit. I'll be checking out the local car show this Saturday, so hopefully I'll see my first one in the wild. I really want to see one next to a 4C, as they're both auto only, tiny sportscars at the same price point and I've always loved the Alfa.

saw a golf in this colour today

ive dubbed it primer metallic......its stunning in an uncanny valley kinda way

anyhoo...in person i think it looks fantastic..in pics its a little underwhelming

I’m a huge fan of those primer Grey colors. Audi does a beautiful one.

I'll keep my eyes open. Ever since VW opened up the color options for the mk7, I've been seeing some really good colors

Mini wanted all the focus! (Liked the mini’s I have driven so I am not even mad). But it looks ok in black! Sinister almost. Would get a wing for it for sure!

I agree, that color brings out the lines and the black accents as well. I hope you get to peep one in person, it changes your perspective so much seeing something in the flesh.

I actually lucked out a long time ago and someone let me review their 4C . It was a riot! I doubt it compares driving wise though . I hope to find out!

Let me know what you thought of that video after you watch it. Around my parts you can get into one in the mid 40K range. Nice discount for sure! I couldn’t do it. No back seats. And it’s an Alfa. They have their own way of making their owners pay after the warranty is up. Definitely want to go full warranty on one of those if you are going to drive it instead of letting it sit.

Say what you will about its looks, the thing feels like a rocket with a fast driver. Power delivery is akin to any of the german sportscars, and the shove is right up there with the AMGs.

Right you are.

I don’t mind it, we’ll get used to them in time. The  SUPRA badge was odd, I think it was black with silver edges so it kinda looked like an outline from different angles.

It almost has an orange tint to it. I like it!
