I feel sorry for those who will never get to drive one. Supreme luxury for the 55MPH era. If FCA was smart they’d offer a 5th Avenue package on the 300 with pillow top velour seats.

I’m a child of the ‘80s, but I find these (and similar) repulsive. If you like them though, more power to you I guess.

If you get a chance to drive a nice one, take it. I was actually shocked at how nice they were to drive. I thought they were   all seats and no substance, but my reality was shattered.   Nicer to drive than a similar vintage Panther.

In a fantasy world where I ran a car museum, I’d like it to offer (for a small fee of course) the ability to take out certain non-rare/non-special cars for short drives just to get a feel for what the cars are the past were like.

Yeah I know the Lane offers something like that.   I wish I knew more cool car people I could trust- it would be fun to have a pool of a couple of dozen cars amongst a group so they all got attention but you could get some variety without having to buy/sell a car each time.

While I don’t think vinyl roofs are ever coming back, soft luxury really needs to. Lincoln is doing well with it. If we can’t fix our roads, we need cars that can deal with the roads we’ve got.

I suppose it’s nice to be able to cruise at 15 0 mph, in Germany. On German roads with other German drivers paying attention to what’s coming up in the hammer lane. Here in Murica, that capability is wasted and makes for a harsh ride on our lunar-surface roads.

I have a soft spot for boxy ‘80s American Luxury.  Whether that’s deserved or not is another question...

At some point I’d love to own a ‘70s or ‘80s Chrysler, RWD, and either an LA or RB V8. Coupe or sedan, I don’t really care.  Something about them just seems special.

Soft luxury is underrated...
