I’m still waiting for my damn chemo drugs to arrive, stuff I ordered last week for overnight delivery. Thankfully this should be the last week of this crap. I just hope that the shit is still on a UPS truck and not stolen by the thieves that seem to run free in my neighborhood.
Kinja is sucking worse than ever on mobile devices so I can’t see any comments if I’m on a phone or tablet and I have to constantly log back in. Couple this with the missing space problem I was having with SwiftKey, but only on Kinja sites, and I’m fed up.
Reading or watching the news just wants to make me bury my head in the sand. I still haven’t been approved for short-term disability even though I’ve been off work for nearly a month. Flies are taking over my kitchen, but I can barely walk so taking out the garbage is a painful experience.
I can hear and smell my neighbors through our common paper-thin bathroom wall. They use nice bubble bath and can sing so I get the best of it, whereas they have to hear me groan and puke and get to smell the pile of used underwear.
Idiot on the freeway held me up last night, probably because I didn’t let him cut in front of me at the last second into an upcoming left turn lane before we got on the freeway . He moved over to the right when someone else moved in front of him, now he’s in the wrong lane and it’s somehow my problem? Just keep your window up, your middle finger retracted and try to drive a little faster than 55 MPH in the fast lane to prove your point, whatever that may be . Your misdirected anger needs to be lodge firmly up your ass.
I’ve played this silly game over and over, but I still enjoy it. I do wish that the British characters actually spoke with a British accent; having them speak ‘Murican just sounds stupid.
I’m outta here, at least for a few hours...

Thanks for your concern. One more week of these awful drugs, then it’s a bunch of tests to make sure the cancer is gone. Thanks to the chemo I’m nauseated, fatigued can’t walk all that much or use my hands. I’m ready to try ‘normal’, as if I have some context of what that means...
My poor car is being neglected. I’d like to wash it, but I don’t have any way to do it at home and I can’t afford to go somewhere. That, and generally it’s been too damn hot. I’d like to touch up the paint and wax it; I have all of the supplies, but I’m just lacking the energy. Maybe I can make the shifter bezel I’ve been meaning to get to, provided I can find the tools and parts.
Maybe I’ll get back to working on the A/V setup soon. I found out that I don’t need to buy another HDMI switch as I discovered that the one I have is 4K ready and I can control it with a Harmony remote. I bought it for $20 at a pawn shop but didn’t notice that it didn’t have the remote, and unlike the one on my computer, it doesn’t have a button to switch it. It’s normally a $100 switch, so it’s actually better than I expected.
I did a little cleanup of the desk the other day and found yet another 500GB SSD that I had forgotten about. I’ve already got 2.5TB of SS storage on my gaming machine so I may put this in a notebook. I’ve got a few of those I need to work on, and maybe I can sell some of them as I really don’t need so many any more. I used to use a bunch for a 4-on-4 flight training exercise, but I don’t run that class anymore so this stuff is now surplus. I have given some away to less fortunate friends and family, and I guess I need to start doing that again.
Grooming these days is questionable. I don’t think I’ve shaved since sometime last winter, minor trimming excluded, and haven’t gotten a haircut since sometime around march. I no longer look like a clean-cut Air Force officer like I did in the past, but instead look like a relic from the ‘70s. I’m kind of digging the shaggy look though, and don’t know if I’ll go back. Hair keeps falling onto the screen of my iPad, and sometimes it gets in my eyes, but those are just minor annoyances.
One fun thing about this sniper game? You get different points depending on where on the body you hit your target. The most points? Testicle shot - oof.
