This seems like a perfect engine for the Z51 C8. Very basic calculations have it rocking 141+ in the quarter with this engine. Pushrods, cross plane, whatever.  This would rock and sound mega.

Wow, what are those heads made out of, plutonium?

The enginelabs link right now isn’t working for me.

The craziest thing is there's obviously room for more with those heads and that engine.

That engine reminds me of the SAM LS7 that made over 800hp, over 3 years ago, using stock casting ls7 heads and block, and a hydraulic roller cam. Granted, they had to utilize 116 octane, but still impressive.

The LS and LT engines have insane potential.

What intake did they use?  Kinsler was awesome on ls7s from what I see.  I think the Gen v lt1 can hit 900 on e with just a touch more.

One other thing from that article about the Katech engine.

“We also run a full C7 intake tube on it as well with no bellmouth or anything on it. We run a standard filter and a standard mass-airflow sensor.”

Tell me that isn't nuts.
