Boss wa
s out last Friday with car trouble:
When he got in this morning, I asked what was up.
Driving from gym to home, which about three of miles, every time he stopped the RPMs would drop then drop again, and continue doing so, until it died.
He would start it back up, and when it was running between stops, it ran without any odd noises, or poor performance.
As soon as he pulled into his driveway, CEL. He checked the code and, camshaft position sensor.
I am in no way a BMW expert, but I know I have read something about that before somewhere...

Pretty sweet little car with so few miles compared to its age. Bummer it needs a CPS. This isn’t a terrible fix .
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

I wonder if BMW did it right and put the sensor on the front of the engine, or pulled a BMW and put it on the back.
I can’t believe the timing chain is on the back of the new Zupra engine. That’s just plan arrogant.

That’s that’s basically the same behavior my first g 35 had when its camshaft position sensor died. Except it wouldn't restart for several minutes
