I'm with you there. Sure, it's an econobox, but it's roomy for it's size, the three cylinder felt like it'd be fun to drive hard and I bet it's light enough to be more fun to drive hard through corners than the Sienna..

I am perfectly good with the Mirage and 500 as they are! I drive an ‘09 Accent that I love that has absolutely no options (no power windows/mirrors, remote locking, etc, etc)
, and it is perfectly fine for me.
For A-B transport, the Versa is fine...but I like the “jelly mould” styling on the Mirage and the 500 a lot more, especially the 500 as I am a big FIAT guy. That being said, the 500 is a lot more expensive, at least in Canada. A base 500 is $22k here...a base Mirage is $10K and a base Versa is $15K! We get the Nissan
Micra here in Canada, which is also $10K. The 500 comes with a lot more features standard than the base trim Mirage and Micra, so I don’t consider it a “basic, no frills, affordable car” even if I do love it.
I always buy used, but I would be perfectly happy buying a brand new Mirage or Micra as that is the kind of car I like! :)

I don’t hate the pre-facelift Mirage, but I don’t think it looks good either. Mostly I just thought the post was really funny

I know a lot of people hate on basic cars for being basic, but I’m not one of them. I dislike Mirages for being ugly (to me) and Versas for being poorly built. But I dislike the Yaris for the same reason. Actually I hate the Yaris even more than the Versa. But you have reminded me that I want a 500 Abarth

I definitely laughed not going to lie. The current Mirage is a good little ride. I’ve had mine right at two years and we’ve been everywhere together. A few little touches make them start to pop a bit. Mine has a place for a long time next to my other Mitsubishi byproduct.
