Uh, reported it. It's fraud otherwise and that would greatly impact my and my wife's career.

Where's the line on something like this? You obviously can't call the cops every time you see a red Mazda CUV. You're not going to walk up to every one you see in a parking lot and check in the VIN. But it could legitimately be at the same lot as you, easily.

I think checking the VIN is reasonable . Not many with white interiors. I’ve checked about 4 now

I guess if you got something like a less common interior that's easy enough to spot, then sure. But damn, that's gotta be stressful. Hope this resolved quickly for you.
