4th gen Camaro. It was a super clean car before and he’s gone full tilt drag car build on it now. He’s tossing a lot of lighter components on it as well.
This was when it was getting the fab work done.

That is one bad motor. What block is he running? I didn't see it listed in the video but I recall reading stock GM blocks start lifting cylinder heads around 1000-1200 HP. But several aftermarket solutions have extra head bolts for more clamping force.

It’s an iron LSX block . It’s got a lot of work done all around. We have Kurt Urban working in the Raceshop so it’s cool getting to learn some LSx history, he’s been around them almost from the very beginning lol.

I remember that was one of GMPPs big selling points for the LSX. Wasnt sure if it was a GMPP, Dart, World, or whatever. But that’s cool. My dad wants a motor for his project truck, I’ve been trying to talk him into a turbo LS build, but I think he’s going to go with a big block. Not that they aren’t cool, but it kills the engineer in me to buy a big dumb heacy iron boat anchor when an LS could make the same power more efficiently.
Awesome that Keith Urban is there. Soak up that knowledge!

Oh I agree with you 100%, they sound great. I'm just more into LS. It doesn't have to be a turbo, either. But if it were my truck it would get a turbo. Or a supercharger.
