It will be 95 by noon, but I plan to be on the bike this morning anyway . I am doing a 2 hour sexual harassment training this morning, which I hate. California law requires this, and they made the “qualified trainer” requirements so onerous that almost no one can do it in house (even though it would be better to let us do train-the-trainer like we do for workplace safety). Instead, they created a cottage industry for lawyers and HR consultants (aka failed lawyers) to provide shitty, overpriced training that bores people. Mine is better and cheaper than most, but I don't like doing it.
A dear friend of mine is getting to a dark place and I don’t know how to help him. He has more serious health problems than me - heart and diabetes. He and I have been on parallel journeys fighting for better health. He got word yesterday that they think he may have some blockage, and they want to do an angiogram. He’s scared, and frustrated, feeling like all his efforts have been for nothing. This morning he is saying that if he dies today of a heart attack, he has had a good life. I don’t know how to help him. I just keep telling him to fight for his life.

Ultimately that’s all you can do for him. He’s gotta decide to fight or not. Does he have close family?

Brutal, it has been raining in Florida non-stop for 3 weeks. I’ve gotten soaked a few times, my car got washed out and still in the shop...but to Warm your soul. Here is a screen capture of when I was in Kuwait 2 years ago.

We had to watch a video for the symphony. It was terrible. The basic takeaway is just “Be a good human being. Don’t be an asshole.” What is really sad is that people need to be told this.

My dad’s pool has been above 90F for almost two months now. Getting in feels disgusting.

Yeah, supposed to be 90's here by 4pm, gets muggy by 4. I got another portable AC in case it climbed again like it did not long ago. That crazy week it was 102 here, which is crazy. They said the coast got too hot and a bunch of muscles died which is very rare.... We went out to Pt. Reyes to escape yesterday and we saw whales, dolphins and seals so it was a very good watching day. Very busy whales, we think at least five of them. It was a nice 71 out there, sunny with a breeze. I just can’t bring myself to get in the water out there, so sharky, I peeked at the shark tracker for that area once and man there were a few.... nope nope.
