So i got my engine where it will idle, eyballed the timing and realized i still somehow have way more vaccuum ports than i do things to run on vacuum. Gotta cap those off.
So now i need to do the front and rear main seals on the tranny while i have it out. I wish I wouldnt have bothered, as the damn things wont come out.
I took the tailshaft off per suggestion to try to tap it out from the back as well. Made little to no difference. Stuck solid. Any suggestions? Im too scared to try the front now.
I also have no way to get. That little tube bushing out, but one thing at a time.
Edit: had to cave in the fuggin side of this thing. “Dont scratch the edge of the sealing surface”. Oops lol

check the output flange for wear where the seal sits. I am replacing the same seal on my Volvo and am using a speedi sleeve (SKF) to ensure I have a good surface.
