My best friend is a heavy equipment operator. The job his on right now he’s in a quarry driving a fucking gigantic dumptruck. Honestly the biggest truck I have ever seen in person. I should take a pic of the 02 next to it!

That sounds about right. He's got a vehicle for every occasion. I don't have a pic on my phone but he occasionally brings his Mercury Marauder to work too. Not much taller than the Miata but about twice as long.

Im trying to plan another one. Not sure where to yet, but I’d like to make it another long haul. Asia or Canada. I’d love to do the US once more, but having been there a couple of times before and having seen most of the tourist hot spots, I’d rather try something else. Hong Kong is quite far up the list, so are Japan, South Korea and a bunch of other countries.

Hong Kong is amazing, but probably better to wait until things have settled down there a bit... I was there about a decade ago. Spent a week in HK, then went to the mainland, and then went on the Beijing and saw the Hidden City, Red Square, and the Great Wall.

My brother and his family now live in Shanghai, so I’m looking forward to taking a trip there in the next couple years with my family. Definitely want to get to Japan as well.

Banff and the surrounding area in Canada is awesome.

What are the “ tourist hot spots” in the U.S.? =)

Ive been to Vegas, LA, SF, Miami, Grand Canyon, NYC...I mean, really, just the top of the best places to visit, dont you think? (s/c, obviously).

Skipping all the jokes though, I really did enjoy all the places I’ve seen while being there. The Grand Canyon left an everlasting impression, same with HW1 (took it all the way from SF to LA).

I went off the beaten path a couple of times as well, with stops in Tucson and Phoenix and a couple of other smaller towns I can’t remember.

I also fully realize there are countles places very well worth visiting and roadtripping to, but having been to the country a couple of times before, other destinations kind of have a preference. Add to the fact that I’m not very much a fan of your current government, you can imagine my attention being drawn to other places in the world.

My brother had an NA in high school. The too had to be down when I drove it because otherwise my head was pushing into the soft top. It had the visors deleted which made it possible to see through the very top of the windshield. But I could also push myself up a bit and see over the windshield lol. It was fun to drive short distances on cooler days but it sucked when I had to drive it for a few weeks instead of the Expedition I usually drove because he was sick of it. He helped pick out the Miata and I helped pick the Expedition years earlier. Eventually I got the Expedition back but it was an irritating few weeks in the NA.

Grand Canyon is epic. You need to get to Sequoia or Muir Woods sometime. Yosemite is one of my favorite places, as well as Yellowstone & Glacier.

Also not a fan of our current government, fwiw.
