wife and I are taking a road trip late next week. The audio in the Miata even with the after market stereo sucks.
So what I would like is something that would work with over ear headphones like Logitech g920, I already have two. So we could listen from a Bluetooth source and chat to each other.
Let me know any options.
Edit: I ended up buying a pair of H80 rugged race headsets... hopefully they work!

Did you upgrade your speakers along with the head unit?

This was what I initially found. And yeah, bosectony all the way. But you still can't hear shit when on the interstate.

wow, you’re not playing around. Maybe I’m making up a worry? - in states where headphones are illegal, possibly getting pulled over by police who don’t realize what kind of headsets you’re wearing?
Too late for this trip but maybe a future project? No stereo may sound good in your car without
noise reduction?

for sheetmetal resonance absorption and then Thinsulate for noise absorption. Thinsulate also adds some thermal insulation too.

No experience with a Miata, but in our tractors simple foam earplugs make a world of difference. With the overall decible reduction you can turn the radio up louder than would be comfortable and it is intelligeable over the engine/equipment noise without being painful.
I had a set of these for a while, and they worked very nicely, but I lost them :(

A top down convertible is as loud as a motorcycle without a helmet. Anything stereo or not is worthless as soon as you’re next to a semi or most SUVs on the highway.

I have one of these and sticking it in a cupholder works great

All the more reason to not take the highway. Get on some backroads going 55ish and you can hear fine

Thats fine most of the time, but it's a long haul.

How long is long? I'm going about 450 miles each way for labor day weekend and my goal is to stay off of highways as much as possible.

Just a bit longer than that. 500 each way, but it would be nearly impossible to do the trip on back roads. It would add a day each way and time is short.

Understandable. I've been there.
