I assume that even though the dash is lit up, your fuel gauge isn’t powered because the engine is off? Because otherwise I would be very worried about being stuck in traffic...

Yeah switched off because it seemed like the thing to do. Can’t turn the dash off without killing the radio because reasons. Plenty of gas.
