I rode to work this morning on the motorcycle. I was going to wear the leather jacket but it wouldn’t fit over my armor. I was going to grab a sweat shirt but forgot to do so as I worked on starting the bike. So I ride off into a 65 degree morning with no jacket. I ended up stopping twice just to warm up. It will be perfect riding weather later today but for now, I’ve learned a lesson.

I threw a hoodie into the trunk of my KLR since even with a jacket, when it’s 50 or below you get chilly at highway speeds. A hoodie, a jacket, and decent gloves make for a comfy commute though. The engine heat kept my feet and legs warm

Yeah will def have to do that. Btw, have you had issues with the teeth on your shifter peg wearing? My dad has a KLR and he’s replaced the shifter peg twice already and it just wore out again last night.

Shifter peg? As in the footpeg? No, I haven’t had any problems. If it’s the shifter itself, mine seems to be fine still. Even though it hits like a sledgehammer going from first to second. But that’s normal.

Theres been a few times when I’ve had my jacket on and was still chilly on the highway to work. Wish I would have had a hoodie over it. But then it’s like 80 on the way home.
Also, look at Knox armor. They just released a new “shirt” that is fully armored you can wear on it’s own or under things to layer up.
