Older model Sony ES receiver but with lots of HDMI ports. No remote, but I’ve got a Harmony. I powered it up at the store and got sound out of the four main speaker outputs. It weighs about 28 lbs I think, but they sold it to me for $10 instead of $1.19/lb. One less reason to avoid putting together the living room media center...

Neat trick posting the LEDs image upside-down.... my tablet tries to be smarter than me and flips the display as I rotate.

I have no idea what the phone is going to do when it comes to rotation of the images. They were both taken at the same angle, but displayed differently in the post . I thought I picked the right angle to shoot it from, but I guess not. I just assume that everyone will be able to figure it out...

That’s typically my MO online as well, everyone should be able to "figure  it out".

Both of my receivers are so old that they don’t even have HDMI ports!

I have too much audio gear, and need to sell some off. But I’m not getting rid of my old Marantz 2240, nor is the old Denon going anywhere. That last one still sounds great, and I got it for a song from a friend that just had to have a new one because yet another (then) new surround sound mode came out and it was just too old for him.

I’d be worried that those HDMI ports are all obsolete and don’t support 4k, though I suppose if you are using a Harmony remote it doesn’t actually matter, you can just have that deal with selecting the correct input on the TV. Of course it could be worse, my Onkyo unit (not set up right now) has an HDMI switch (I think only 2 port), but IIRC doesn’t actually read the digital audio stream from the HDMI, so you still need to connect audio via optical or coax.

I was planning on using them for things that are not 4K, and connect the 4K devices directly to the TV. I think I only have two devices that are 4K, so I’m not too worried at this point.

Given the number of inputs, pre outs and second zone ability that was probably a pretty sweet reciever in its day. If you don’t plan on updating to 4K in the immediate future that should serve you well. Especially at that price point. That’s a steal right there.
