I want to see Land Rover show tests of durability. Take half a dozen production-ready Defenders and run them for 100k miles in various conditions. Report back on longevity. While a breakdown at 30k miles on the highway in the US may be annoying, it could be deadly out in the elements.

I’m not particularly concerned about how durable they are.
Until Land Rover and Land Rover Australia is prepared to demonstrate how they are actually going to support these things in the real world rather than doing what they currently do (wave you away from the dealer in luxury suburbia central and charge you lots of money if you bring it back to service it...if they have the parts...and go deaf dumb and blind if you start talking trade-in values at the end of the warranty period ) and pretending that’s brilliant customer service and what their customers want.
As for regional dealers or a service network ....they don’t exist.
No thanks.
