But that’s okay. Just because it is going to be a long day doesn’t mean it has to be a bad day. No emails, conference calls, or co workers. Just me and Igor the Promaster City, or City Promaster, or Pro City Master... whatever, it’s Igor.

Igor is an excellent name for a Promaster City.

Several people at work don’t understand why me and one coworker always end out flipping a coin to see who gets the rare third shift coverage opportunities.
We both used to work thirds at former jobs and really look forward to the chance to come in with no one around. It means I get payed to run a few tests, walk around to verify a few things every hour or so, and read. What’s not to like? The only downside is the work WiFi and my cell coverage both suck.

Will you drive that distance in one day? What kind of work are you doing?

Today it pretty much travel only. Heading out to help a different workgroup in a remote area.
I work on printers and copiers, everything from little desktop printers to big digital press/printers like this.

I had an opportunity once upon a time to interview with Fuji regarding photo printing equipment; I'm thinking Walgreen's Photo Department. I hated to decline the interview at the time, but it may ght've been fun. Then again, that business is probably now about 5% of what it was then...

Most Walgreens still have some photo equipment, but it is all automatic. Photo file goes in, prints come out. Next customer please.

Second shift was always my favorite. Sleep in, take care of chores/shopping when the stores aren’t crowded , head to work when the bosses were closing up shop for the day, avoid crazy friends/relatives in the evening, head home at midnight. Perfect for a bachelor.

I always order my prints from MPIX. And seldom , at that...
