Got back to my apartment building after dropping off my gf because we went for a night drive. Noticed a shirtless bro and two girls walking across the parking lot as I parked my car.

As I’m walking across the parking lot to my building drunk dude and the two drunk girls are kinda stumbling around being loud ahead of me.

I tried to lag behind them but then they started trying to talk to me. I learned a long time ago to deal with drunk people and homeless people the same way, put my head down don’t make eye contact and ignore their existence entirely. S o, I walked past them and into my building.

At which point I hear “HEY THANKS FOR HOLDING THE DOOR OPEN YOU DICK!” as yelled by one of the women. Which is then followed by the other chick and bro hollering at me... great. I ignore them and walk to the stairs.

I start up the stairs and the girl yells “are you drunk or just a douchebag?!”

Which I again ignored.

After which she yelled “oh I see, your boyfriend is waiting for you!” followed by a series of slurs.

(Because clearly me ignoring her drunk skanky ass calls for some homophobia)

I just kept moving because dudebro started sounding agitated and I really didn’t need to deal with an angry shirtless bro trying to be a shitty white knight at 1:00 am.

So... hopefully they were too drunk to remember which car is mine, and if not, luckily the building has security cameras. What a way to end an otherwise pleasant evening.

In my experience, drunks are just real bad news all around. Apartment complexes, to echo phenotyp, also suck. I watched a drunk dude get arm-barred to the ground by the cops one night when I was in Stoon because he yelled “I’m gonna kill you!” at them. Once again highlighting that drunks are not smart.

It’s a little weird because my apartment building isn’t cheap, and the parking lot is gated, so I haven’t really had to deal with this up till now.

Another one of the worst types of drunks is the “drunk person trying way too hard to convince you that they aren’t drunk.”

I went camping last month with my best friend and 4 of his coworkers that I didn't know. We all drank, but the one guy got stupidly drunk. And every time you tried to say something to him, he'd respond with "I'm good, bro!" Even as he was puking all over the ground, he just kept saying "I'm good, bro!" No, you're not. You're being a drunk asshole and now we have to hide the booze.

Glad you’re okay and you’re very wise, not instigating/engaging is the best option. Drunk guys always make me uncomfortable. Even if they’re friendly and nice you always have that suspicion it could go south any second because drunk.

As someone who doesn’t drink, I find myself with less and less patience for beligerent drunks.

I do drink, but I’m a friendly drunk who only talks to my friends who I’m out with. I’ll never understand belligerent drunks, I’ve never thought that fighting was a good plan when I’m already down on fine motor skills because alcohol, lol.

There’s a great story that keeps circulating on the web about some dumbass kid out drinking with his buddies in the Atlanta area from a few years ago . Allegedly, d ipshit g ets into it with a passing dude over something stupid, and in a show of epic badassery ends up spitting on the guy. Unfortunately (for them) , nobody recognized Evander Holyfield and 2 or 3 of the bros (depending on the version) end up on their asses. If there’s any truth to this, they’re lucky they didn’t need facial reconstruction afterwards.
