I have no idea what this Corvette is like to drive, and ugh it’s an automatic, and I’m no fan of any color that falls on the greyscale spectrum, but this looked great (especially topless) until...

Damn. So close to being a beautiful car.

Front bumper seems to be the same color as the rear too (pink? Purple?)

 My second thought was that the bumpers are plastic and the rest is metal..  (1st being a sadly bad color match after some "incident")

I don’t know what it is but white works on the Vette. So much so that the white C8 won me over (it mutes the hood lines enough).

I was thinking maybe fiberglass vs metal (isn’t fiberglass harder to manage colors on?) but I know diddly/squat about materials.

The stock bumpers are urethane and they have a tendency to develop waves. My uncle’s mother-in-law has an ‘82 with this problem. It spends too much time in the Oklahoma sun.

That is one very poor clip.

Color matching is a tough thing, especially when you factor age. And Corvettes are the absolute worst in this regard. C5s looked dented straight from the factory.
